Jan Stalder DNP, APRN, FNP

Jan Stalder is a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience as a paramedic and firefighter. She brings compassion, expertise, and levity to Tomorrow’s Health to provide the best experience for her patients.

Education
Jan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, followed by a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Years later, she completed a post-master’s certification as a family nurse practitioner and ultimately earned her doctorate in nursing practice from Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky.
Background
Jan has been involved in local firefighting services for decades. She holds certifications in career firefighting and paramedics in the state of Texas. Jan later became the first woman to be appointed by the Governor of Texas to serve on the Texas Commission on Fire Protection. Jan was instrumental in the development of a federal disaster medical team (DMAT), which took Jan to Hurricane Katrina, 9-11 Ground Zero, the Columbia Shuttle Recovery, and more.
